Because there are important differences between trans and cis chest measurements, having a surgeon who is well-versed in transgender Breast Augmentation is a must. Dr. Chandler has the necessary training and experience to be able to properly advise transgender patients about implant sizes and profiles. At your consultation, Dr. Chandler will take precise measurements of your breast and chest dimensions and you'll have the opportunity to try out different sizes of implants to help determine which implants would be best suited to your needs. Implants can be placed in the subglandular (above the muscle) or submuscular (below the muscle) plane and Dr. Chandler will explain the pros and cons of each technique.

MTF Breast Augmentation is done on an outpatient basis, so you'll be able to go home the same day of surgery. After surgery, you'll wear a supportive soft surgical bra, avoiding underwire bras for 4-6 weeks.

Dr. Chandler also offers Body Feminization to further define your feminine curves. Excess fat from the abdomen, "love handles" and mid back is removed with liposuction, and some of the extracted fat can be transferred to areas, such as the thighs and buttocks, where curves can be augmented.

Dr. Chandler operates at Norwalk Hospital, St. Vincent's Medical Center, Stamford Hospital and Norwalk Ambulatory Surgery Center. To ensure that all patients feel welcomed, Dr. Chandler's practice has a gender-affirming intake form and staff have received sensitivity training.
