Gender-Affirming Genital Surgery

Dr. Hanna specializes in Penile Inversion Vaginoplasty. During the procedure, he performs follicular cautery, which eliminates the need for pre-operative hair removal. Dr. Hanna's Vaginoplasty results feature minimal scarring, a natural looking appearance and depth suitable for intercourse. To further increase vaginal depth, or to perform a revision to a previously performed Vaginoplasty, Dr. Hanna uses the Peritoneal (PPT) or Sigmoid Colon Vaginoplasty techniques.

Dr. Hanna also performs Vulvoplasty, a procedure that transforms existing genital tissue into a feminine appearing vulva, complete with a sensate clitoris and labia. A vaginal canal is not created with this method, making Vulvoplasty less invasive and easier to recover from compared to Vaginoplasty. Plus, there is no need for dilation after surgery. Vulvoplasty is ideal for those who do not prioritize the need for a vaginal canal, as well as those who have concerns about recovery, especially in the context of age, pre-existing conditions or other risk factors.

5 stars"Great care. They're always responsive and quick with the questions I have. As of writing, I'm two months post-op for my minimum depth vaginoplasty. The results are fantastic and recovery has been quite smooth." – Emily B.

5 stars"Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hanna and his entire team. Everyone is kind welcoming and communicative. Furthermore, my results are better than I could’ve ever dreamed! Thanks for improving my quality of life!" – Jennifer E.

Dr. Hanna also provides stand-alone Orchiectomy surgery, a procedure that removes the testicles. Orchiectomy stunts the development of male secondary characteristics, such as beard growth, and allows most patients to reduce their intake of hormone replacement therapy, which greatly reduces the thromboembolic and cardiovascular risks associated with high estrogen doses. Many trans women and non-binary individuals choose to have this procedure and no further genital surgery.

Dr. Hanna also offers Nullification, Breast Augmentation, Body Sculpting and Hair Grafting.

Whichever procedures you decide on, Dr. Hanna will be involved with every aspect of your care. He will see you post-operatively and follow-up with you for a full year after your surgery.
